Getting Started

What is a paint by numbers kit?

A paint by numbers kit is a pre-printed canvas divided into numbered sections. Each number matches a paint color in the set, so you simply fill each area with the matching shade.

Is it suitable for beginners?

Yes. Most people start without any painting experience at all. That is part of the appeal. You do not need to sketch, mix colors, or plan the layout yourself.

What comes in the kit?

Our standard kits usually include:

  • A numbered canvas
  • A set of numbered acrylic paints
  • A set of brushes
  • A reference sheet
  • A hanging kit, depending on the product

The exact contents can vary a little from one design to another, but the main essentials are there.

How long does it take to finish a kit?

That depends on the size and the level of detail. Some people finish in a few evenings. Others take a couple of weeks and work on it little by little. In reality, most people prefer that pace anyway.

Do I need to be good at painting?

No. The guide is already there for you. What usually surprises beginners is how manageable it feels once they start.

How does a custom paint by numbers kit work?

You upload your photo, and we turn it into a paint by numbers design. The image is adjusted into paintable sections and matched with a set of colors that fits the final canvas.

What kind of photo works best?

Clear photos with good lighting usually give the best result. Close-up shots also help, especially for faces, pets, and smaller details.

What kind of photo should I avoid?

It is better to avoid:

  • Blurry photos
  • Dark photos
  • Pictures with strong backlight
  • Photos where the subject is very far away
  • Busy backgrounds with too much going on

Those images are harder to turn into a clean final design.

How many people can be in one photo?

For the best detail, we usually recommend no more than 4 or 5 people in one picture. If there are too many faces in one image, the final result may lose clarity.

Can I use a pet photo?

Yes. Pet photos work very well, especially when the face is clear and the lighting is decent.

Will my painting look exactly like my photo?

Not exactly. A custom kit is based on your photo, but it still has to be simplified into paintable sections. That is just part of how paint by numbers works.

What happens if my photo is not suitable?

We review custom orders and may contact you if we feel a better photo is needed. Still, it helps to upload your best image from the start because poor-quality photos usually lead to weaker results.

Orders, Shipping and Tracking

How long does production take?

Most orders are made after they are placed, so production takes a few business days before shipping. Custom kits can sometimes take a bit longer because they need extra preparation.

Can I change my order after placing it?

Sometimes, yes. If your order has not entered production yet, we may still be able to make changes. The sooner you contact us, the better.

Can I cancel my order?

Orders can usually be cancelled within 24 hours. After that, the order may already be in production or prepared for shipping.

Can I cancel a custom order?

Only before production begins. Once work has started on a custom kit, it can no longer be cancelled.

Will I receive a tracking number?

Yes. Once your order ships, we will send a tracking number by email.

Why has my tracking not updated yet?

Tracking does not always update right away. Sometimes there is a gap between scans, especially during customs checks, handovers between carriers, or busy shipping periods.

How long does shipping take?

Shipping times can vary depending on your location and the carrier. Some parcels move quickly, others take a little longer than expected. That is frustrating, but it does happen from time to time.

I ordered more than one item. Will they arrive together?

Usually yes, but not always. If one item is ready before the others, it may be shipped separately.

My tracking says delivered, but I cannot find my package

First, check around your mailbox, front door, reception desk, or with neighbors. Then contact the carrier. If you still cannot locate it, email us and we will help guide you from there.

Returns, refunds, and exchanges

Can I return my order?

Unused items may be returned within the allowed return period, as long as they are still in their original condition and packaging.

Can I return a custom kit?

Custom kits cannot be returned for personal preference reasons. They are only eligible for replacement or review if there is damage or a production issue.

Do you offer refunds?

Refunds depend on the situation. If there is a genuine issue with the order, we review it and help based on the case.

Do you offer exchanges?

Yes, in some situations. Contact us first so we can guide you properly before anything is sent back.

Who pays return shipping?

That depends on the reason for the return and the destination. Once we review the request, we will let you know the next step.

Damaged or Missing Items

I received the wrong item

If that happens, contact us with your order number and a photo of what you received. We will review it and sort it out.

My order arrived damaged


Please email us with clear photos of the damage and your order number. Once we can see the issue clearly, it is much easier to help properly.

Something is missing from my kit

Let us know what is missing, and we will help you from there.


I ran out of paint


Some colors get used faster than others, and coverage can vary. If you run out, contact us and we will see what can be done.


My canvas has creases or dents

Minor creases can happen during shipping and can often be flattened at home. If the damage is more serious, send us photos so we can review it.
